I might be late to the game but I’m instituting Flashback Friday on this blog effective immediately.
You see, I am selling a pet project, HandmadeInTexas.net, and I want to salvage the content. So, I plan to re-purpose it here on this blog. Since we moved to Michigan, it seems appropriate to allow a Texan to take the reigns over at HandmadeInTexas.net. If you, or someone you know, is interested in a very groovy domain name with loads of potential, contact me.
Making versus Creating
Kicking off #FBF with a podcast reboot recording from 2015 where my husband, Shane, and I discuss the difference between making and creating. Shane and I ran a custom furniture business for 20 years. We have a lot to say on this subject.
According to MakerFaire.com, the term maker includes “tech enthusiasts, crafters, educators, tinkerers, hobbyists, engineers, science clubs, authors, artists, students, and entrepreneurs.”
For the Record
- Paul Simon is 75 years old.
- The name of the artist who created the brilliant found art at the Menil Collection in Houston, Texas is Haim Steinbach.
- In 2015, Shane created 5 Fallen Hero Memorial Chests with the funds we raised on Indiegogo.
- The groovy podcast theme music is “Project 21” written and produced by Brock Rodarte.
Keep on creating!
