Describe your business (work, passion) in 3 to 5 sentences.
Empowering students and parents through college awareness and preparation. Allowing them to get the most out of their education through funding, research and application.

How did you get started in your business?
Through a personal experience in 2009 and not wanting to see another family go through what I did sending a child off to college.

What was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome in your business?
Getting out of my own way in thinking, as well as, understanding. Knowing to give is my choice and not to be taken advantage of because I provided a service.

How has this hurdle made you better?
It made me rethink about my cycle of people who saw the need for my service but didn’t see the vision and the purpose. I had to realize just like any other business owners who provides a service I deserve to be paid and not taken for a ride because you didn’t see overnight results.

Top 3 books for personal and business growth?
The Bible, Act Like a Success, Think Like A Success by Steve Harvey (affiliate link), and my journal. Why my journal is because as I write how my business day went and I’m truthful to myself I’ll know how to handle the next day.

What does gratitude mean to you?
Gratitude to means is going outside of myself to help others in ways I’ve never been helped. I always want to do things and help a cause greater than myself. If that’s helping someone promote their business if I can’t do it financially then I’ll volunteer my time. It’s also means gratefulness to me. Grateful they followed their dream so how can I help.

Who do you appreciate? Why?
It is more of what do I appreciate for me. I appreciate my past and my past failures. My past because of what I’ve gone through in life with people has only made me realize how a persons mouth can say a lot but there actions tells their truths. My past failure is simply because those people have shown me what I don’t want to be like as a person or even a business owner. (Just speaking my truth) We all have to live let’s not live off of another’s persons kindness by being selfish yet more selfless.
