A huge thank you to Abegail Navalta with Are U Kidding Me Productions for filming and producing this season of business interviews.

So let’s get on with episode one!

Grow Your MLM Tribe with Relationship Marketing

Jane Summa is a network marketer out of Spring, Texas.  Jane brilliantly uses relationship marketing to create a tribe of friends and business associates around the country.

“I joined my network marketing opportunity at the age of 40 when I realized my husband and I aren’t getting any younger and why was I working a J.O.B. the way I was, and only the owner was benefiting,” explains Jane.

Jane and I had a blast discussing relationship marketing best practices for network marketing, multi-level marketing and direct sales.  You will learn a lot from her wisdom in this interview:

3 Icons in Real Estate Share Their Top Relationship Marketing Tips

Creating a competitive edge is the key to standing out in a crowded market.  Real estate, especially in the Greater Houston, Texas area where I live, is an extremely crowded market.  There are 70,000 agents for 7 million residents.  Relationship marketing is your competitive edge.

Using relationship marketing principles, Jim McCord took his average transaction from $200,000 to $1 million.

Jay McHugh used an agent appreciation system to grow his brokerage to $1 billion a year in sales.

Over a four-year period, Gayle Zientek tripled her business 99% by referral.  She has already received 99 referrals this year.

Sounds like three people you might want to learn from, eh?  Watch this Facebook Live replay:

You can use the same powerful relationship marketing tool these real icons in real estate use in your own business for as little as $5 per customer per year.  I can show you how.

Networking Follow-Up Do’s and Dont’s

Let this sink in: 80% of sales happen after the 4th follow-up. Yet, only 12% of people follow-up more than 3 times.  You don’t have to be good at math to figure out the magic follow-up formula.

4 Follow Ups = More Sales

The folks over at Cassius Blue Consulting put together this fantastic info-graphic on the do’s and don’t of networking follow up that really speaks for itself. But, you know me, I always like to add my two cents.

Be Authentic

Not everyone is going to be your client. In fact, that’s the last thing you want!  You want to be doing business with people who know, like and trust. Just like you want them to know, like and trust you. Rapport. The word for that know, like and trust factor is rapport. Be who you a really are and you will attract the kind of clients with whom you love to work.

Have Fun

Make follow-up a game. Have fun. Connect with your prospective client on Facebook or LinkedIn. Send real paper greeting cards with fun photos from their Facebook feed. Most folks don’t have print copies of their favorite photos anymore, so they will treasure your greeting card for years, proudly displaying it on their desk. They will never forget you!  I use an app that allows me to send a real paper greeting card with real photos with a few taps and swipes for less than $2 per card including postage, you can check it out here.

Donny and Diamond Hunter

Showering a Mourning Family with a Card Flurry

“I have always depended on the kindness of strangers.” – Tennessee Williams

A “Card Flurry™” is a movement and so far over a thousand people are participating.  The idea is to send a hero, or someone suffering from a great tragedy, a flurry of greeting cards filled with words of encouragement.

The Card Flurry™ movement is the brain-child of Jordan Adler.  Each month, Adler and his team are picking one family to receive a flurry.  The first, is the Hunter family of Iowa.

Just before the holidays this beautiful family lost 2 of their 3 children in a tragic auto accident. Molli and Brandon Hunter (parents) lost their daughter Diamond who was 8 and their son Donny who was 7.

My heart hurt as I watched this news report.

IMPORTANT NOTE: The family is in need of financial support as well, so if it’s in your budget, please send a $10 – $100 American Express Card.
Please send cards and prayers. God Bless this family.

LET’S SHOWER THIS FAMILY WITH LOVE – They are going to need it.

Peace,

Jordan

Just one day after announcing the flurry for the Hunter family, the movement has been covered in the Portage, Michigan news.

I sent the Hunter family a card and an American Express gift card with my SendOutCards phone app.  I urge you to join the movement at CardFlurry.com to receive the address of the Hunter family so you can send them a heart-felt greeting card, as well.

If you do not already have the SendOutCards app, use this link and I will cover the cost of your greeting card to the Hunter family.

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. What better day to show the one’s you love just how much you care.

You do not have to be in a romantic relationship to express love on Valentine’s Day. Kids, parents, friends (especially your single friends) all appreciate feeling appreciated. So why not shower them with love and kindness on the days leading up to February 14th?

February is About More than Love

If you really aren’t into that sappy love stuff, there are plenty of other opportunities to show appreciation in February. My husband is not into sappy, so I no longer expect flowers, or even acknowledgement of the holiday on Valentine’s Day.  He shows his love everyday through small gestures.
