Tanieka Randall | 30 Women Who Mean Business Series

Tanieka Randall discovered the secret to regrowing hair after losing her own to chemotherapy.  Her company, Tee’s Hair Secret, is the result of exhaustive research about natural hair regrowth treatments.

Describe your business (work, passion) in 3 to 5 sentences.
I am passionate about inspiring others by sharing my testimony. I went from being faithless to using my faith to motivate others to find their passion. My passion for helping women grow healthy hair lead me to starting my natural hair care line Tee’s Hair Secret.

How did you get started in your business?
I researched oils to help me regrow my hair after losing it during chemotherapy. I used that product for years for my family and I. Last year I was making a shampoo bar for my mom and shared pictures on Facebook which lead to people inquiring and requesting more products. People always asked what was my secret so I decided to share my hair oil with others.

What was the biggest hurdle you had to overcome in your business?
I had to overcome me! I was holding on to fear and self doubt. I held myself back because of uncertainty and honestly not believing in myself. I kept thinking I wasn’t ready.

How has this hurdle made you better?
I had to grow strong in faith and know that everything happens for a reason. My past struggles helped me grow into the strong woman I am now. Once I stepped out on faith everything started falling in place. The right connections came to me sometimes without even trying! I went from not believing to knowing that I can do anything I set my mind on as long as I do the work!

Who do you appreciate? Why?
God first and foremost because he believed in me even when I didn’t believe in him or myself. I appreciate my family for helping and supporting me. I appreciate all of the women and men I have met along the way that have blessed me with business and/or life knowledge.
